CASE STUDY
A specialty metals component manufacturer needed to relocate production from California to Georgia, USA. Two production lines and 17 part numbers needed to be industrialized and Ramped-Up.

ENCONA SOLUTION
ENCONA provided on-site Project Management and Project Engineering to establish Process Flows, This included machine placement and start-up, capacity analysis, PPAP, and supplier localization. ENCONA Project Managed multiple Gantt schedules, Action Plans, ECNs, Capacity planning, and other tools to perform work for the client.

CLIENT OUTCOME
The client is running initial production runs, using localized suppliers, and obtaining customer approval.

CASE STUDY
A metal stamping supplier was awarded a new contract with a German OEM and needed to implement requirements from VDA 6.3 on their processes and suppliers.

ENCONA SOLUTION
ENCONA provided a certified VDA 6.3 Auditor on-site for a Gap Analysis, Action Plan, and weeks of consulting support to implement necessary changes to their FMEA, Control Plans, Supplier Quality Manual, and other documents and processes to improve conformance to VDA 6.3 and meet customer specific requirements. ENCONA used VDA 6.3 audit tools, P5-P7 assessment, FMEA, Control Plan, and Requirements Matrix to complete this project.

The client was able to achieve higher scores on their customer audits, VDA 6.3 audits, and have conforming processes.

CASE STUDY
A high-volume hydraulics manufacturer needed to consolidate production from Germany, China, Minnesota, and Oklahoma to a central manufacturing location in Kentucky, USA. This included the relocation, setup, and run off of 48 machines, 800+ part numbers, and systems integration. Customer PPAP run-at-rates, OEE implementation, and FMEA development were required.

ENCONA SOLUTION
ENCONA provided on-site Project Management and Project Engineering combined with Hybrid support for CAPEX and Data Management. Over 18 months, ENCONA supported the client to launch multiple production lines, integrate manufacutirng systems, develop and use OEE KPIs. ENCONA also performed customer liason for PPAP and Ramp-Up with end customers and provided supply chain coordination with Tier 1's.

CLIENT OUTCOME
The client was able to produce the necessary manufactured goods in their new facility, activate new suppliers, Ramp-Up additional production, and establish necessary inventories.

CASE STUDY
A component manufacturer needed to reduce non-value-added costs within their direct labor work cells. A series of polishing and rework operations were identified to be high-waste areas in need of lean Kaizen.

ENCONA SOLUTION
ENCONA ran a 3-month Kaizen to collect data on the initial baseline, used a PDCA methodology, ran trials on improved processes, implemented the improvements, and validated the savings on the new standard process.

CLIENT OUTCOME
The client was able to free up and reallocate headcount, reduce direct labor non-value-added waste by 52.7% in the selected work cells and have improved throughput.
